The Reserva range reflects the MontGras’ philosophy, passion and skill in showcasing each wine’s unique terroir. The grapes for these wines are handpicked from selected areas in the various MontGras Estates in order to always ensure an optimum wine. In Colchagua they source the ripe reds, as well as Chardonnay and Viognier while from the cooler coastal Leyda Valley, they receive Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Noir. The tasty, soft, seductive reds are aged 5-8 months with oak contact to enhance complexity, structure and style. The crisp whites are bottled young and sealed with a screw cap to maximize freshness.
The MontGras Reserva Carmenere has a deep purple red color. Ripe black fruits aromas with spice, combined with chocolate, vanilla and a fine toasty note, which gives an elegant and complex nose. Ripe and soft tannins, with great structure and freshness given by the wine’s round tanning and good acidity. The tasteful toasty oak gives this wine the perfect frame for a charming and lingering finish.
